3CDC to acquire vacant, former Garfield Suites Hotel for $3.75M

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – One of Cincinnati’s top development firms will acquire and redevelop a vacant 16-story tower that sits in the Central Business District.

The Cincinnati Center City Development Corp. (3CDC) has entered a purchasing agreement to buy the former Garfield Suites Hotel for $3.75 million, a spokesperson tells FOX19 NOW.

3CDC plans to transform the building into a mixed-use development, which is estimated to cost $62 million, a spokesperson says. However, no official plans have been made and a budget has not been finalized.

The non-profit describes the building’s location as being in a “critical” area, connecting multiple parts of downtown, such as Fountain Square and Court Street Plaza…
