CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A man has been arrested after the Hamilton County grand jury indicted the former Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority property manager, who is accused of stealing tenants’ rent payments and forging records.
Dion Crockett, 55, of Liberty Township, is charged with one count of theft in office, three counts of theft, one count of unauthorized use of property, one count of forgery and one count of tampering with records, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.
Prosecutors allege that from Jan. 1, 2024, through April 30, 2026, Crockett collected tenants’ rent money orders for The Evanston, a CMHA complex, but cashed them instead of crediting the payments to tenant accounts, making it appear as though they hadn’t paid rent…
