Baby, toddler severely injured in Crofton tractor crash

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A tractor flipped during a collision in Crofton, leaving two young children and a woman with injuries on Memorial Day.

On May 25 around 5 p.m., deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an injury accident in the area of West Princeton Street and Poole Mill Road involving a vehicle and a farm tractor. An infant and a two-year-old toddler were inside the tractor when the accident occurred and sustained multi-system trauma, according to Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville Fire/EMS.

Their mother, a 32-year-old Crofton woman who was driving the tractor, told deputies that a pickup truck pulled out in front of them at an intersection, causing the tractor to flip. The 19-year-old driver of the truck said he did not see the tractor, with witnesses reporting that his vehicle essentially ran the stop sign before colliding with the tractor…
