HPD investigates apartment shooting, possible suspect arrested for disorderly conduct

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A man was arrested for disorderly conduct over the weekend after police were advised he may have been involved in a shooting.

The shooting in question occurred on May 22 at James Village Apartments on East 21 Street where a residence was struck with gunfire. The following morning, a person that had been in the area when the shots were fired advised that a man suspected of firing the gun was walking down Fort Campbell Boulevard, according to an arrest report.

Officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department located the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Deovion Day of Cadiz, and contact was made near the Bluegrass Cash Express. According to HPD, the suspect was yelling in a “hostile intent” in a public setting with multiple citizens around…
