NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A Code Red Weather Alert remains in effect through Tuesday evening as dangerously hot temperatures and oppressive humidity continue across Middle Tennessee.
With heat index values expected to climb well above 100 degrees, emergency officials are urging residents to take precautions and make use of cooling centers available across the region.
Metro Nashville’s Office of Homeless Services has activated its extreme heat response in coordination with the Office of Emergency Management.
