Clarksville Man Indicted In November Shooting in Oak Grove

A Clarksville man has been indicted on a murder charge in connection with the November shooting death of a man in Oak Grove.

The Christian County Grand Jury returned the indictment Friday against 28-year-old Avery Bates. The indictment alleges Bates wantonly engaged in conduct and caused the death of 25-year-old Jaylin Glenn on November 23rd.

Oak Grove Police said Glenn was shot in the head around 3:25 that morning in front of the post office on Fort Campbell Boulevard. Witnesses reported a fight had broken out in a parking lot among people waiting to enter a lounge and karaoke bar when the shooting occurred. Emergency personnel performed CPR, but Glenn could not be revived…
