The Hopkinsville Police Department continues to answer several shoplifting complaints each day from retailers across the city. Two cases at Dollar General stores on Tuesday resulted in arrests.
Police say Tyler Watson of Oak Grove drank a Capri Sun inside the Dollar General on East Ninth Street and left without paying. An employee told the police that Watson had done the same thing before.
An officer later found Watson on Gray Street. Police say Watson tried to conceal what appeared to be synthetic marijuana as the officer approached him. Watson was arrested and charged with theft, possession of synthetic drugs, and tampering with evidence. He was also banned from returning to the store…
