Pleasant View has a new mayor, a new alderman and a new position in town government.
The Pleasant View Board of Mayor and Aldermen swore in Bruce Drake as mayor, appointed Henry H.T. Wright as a new alderman and unanimously approved the creation of a city administrator position at its most recent meeting, held Aug. 10 at Pleasant View City Hall.
The board unanimously approved on second reading the creation of the city administrator position, which will absorb the duties of city recorder, and appointed longstanding city recorder Lisa Parker to the role.
