The recent $250 million U.S. Smokeless Tobacco expansion in Hopkinsville will bring more than 200 new jobs to Christian County. It also gives economic development officials something else to sell when they talk to companies considering Christian, Trigg, or Todd counties.
Appearing on WHVO’s Hoptown This Morning, South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council Executive Director Carter Hendricks said the expansion shows companies that southwestern Kentucky has a history of supporting industries after they arrive.
