While a jury was preparing to hear the evidence in trial against murder suspect Anthony Moore, proceedings instead ended in a guilty plea Monday morning in Christian Circuit Court.
Moore was before the jury to face charges of murder and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment in connection to the death of 31-year-old Cicara Chantel James at a home on Pembroke-Oak Grove Road. Instead of proceeding with the trial that was set to begin Monday morning, however, Moore entered a guilty plea to the charge of murder and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
According to court officials, that comes with a recommended sentence of 20 years on the murder charge and five years each for the two wanton endangerment charges. The third count of wanton endangerment was dismissed by the Commonwealth…
