Dickson County teen arrested for DUI, other charges after high-speed chase

DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Members of three law enforcement agencies pursued a teenager accused of driving at speeds close to 100 mph and then crashing into the woods near the Cheatham County-Dickson County line early Thursday morning.

Chip and Lisa Winter live in Kingston Springs, just off Highway 70. The married couple said they woke up to flashlight beams and swirling police lights shining through their bedroom window around 1 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1.

“Lisa said, ‘There’s somebody in the backyard with flashlights!'” Chip told News 2 as he stood on his porch with Lisa and her twin sister, Teresa McCarter. “I said, ‘Call the cops! Let’s call 911.’ And she said, ‘It is the police!'”…
