Students set to perform ‘The Secret Garden’ at Alhambra

Following auditions Monday, more than 50 students are practicing their roles in a musical adaptation of “The Secret Garden.” The public can see their show at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Alhambra Theatre.

The Pennyroyal Arts Council is hosting the residency of the Missoula Children’s Theatre, whose staff organizes and directs the show.

Rebecca Wood plays the lead character of Mary Lennox, said Molly Campbell, arts education coordinator for the arts council. Last summer for another Missoula residence in Hopkinsville, Rebecca had the role of Rapunzel.

Also in “The Secret Garden” are Naomi Fancher as Martha Sowerby, Jessara Crenshaw as Dickon Sowerby, Kaitlynn Williams as Susan Sowerby, Trae Becks as Colin Craven, Janai Porchia as Archibald Craven, Chevy Kline as Mrs. Medlock, Alyssa Minemyer as Doctor Craven, Judah Fancher as Ben Weatherstaff, Olivia Rodgers as Robin Redbreast.

The Bugs that Rock are played by Honey Blount, Annabelle Burley, Terryn Johnson, Emma London, Kennedy Moorefield, Emily Purviance, Tori Tompkins, and Ahnalise Westbrook.
