CLARKSVILLE, TN – In a ceremony held during Cub Scout Pack 503’s annual Blue & Gold Banquet, Feb. 9, two young heroes were celebrated for their bravery. Christopher and William Schroeder were awarded the Medal of Merit in recognition of their courage and quick thinking in a critical moment. William was also selected as the Middle Tennessee Council Cub Scout of the Year. The Medal of Merit is awarded to Scouts and Scouters who have performed an act of commendable service above what is expected of a member of the Boy Scouts of America.
