A man from Miami, Florida is facing an assault charge in Christian County after allegedly assaulting a man with a machete in Oak Grove. According to the police report, officers responded to the 8100 block of Pembroke-Oak Grove Road on Tuesday at around 9:45 a.m. for reports of a stabbing and upon arrival, officers made contact with 32-year-old Yoandi Perez of Miami who was covered in blood. He was quickly detained and reportedly kept saying he and the male victim had gotten into a fight and he was sorry.
