FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A fire in the impact area at Fort Campbell on Wednesday was creating a great deal of smoke, and it may be visible from off post. “Continued dry conditions have and will result in range fires,” Fort Campbell officials said in a statement. “The fire is under control and being monitored by DPW Forestry; DPTMS Range; and DES personnel to ensure the fire stays within the training areas and to avoid any threats to property.
