Suspect arrested after hopping on Hopkinsville train, attempting to pull emergency break

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A 29-year-old man under the influence found his way onto a CSX train in Hopkinsville and attempted to pull the emergency break. On Sept. 16 around 11 a.m., officers with the Hopkinsville Police Department arrived at East 14th Street and South Campbell Street after receiving a call about the suspect from CSX. The caller specified the suspect was as a non-employee and was pulling the emergency break lever, which raised the risk of the train derailing, according to the police report.
