Christian Co. woman charged with child sexual exploitation

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — A Christian County woman was arrested after undercover investigators found she shared sexual abuse material involving children online, officials said.

According to the Kentucky State Police , 33-year-old Stephanie Renee Vickers was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 3 and charged with multiple child sexual exploitation offenses.

KSP’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit opened an undercover investigation after discovering a suspect who was sharing sexual content of children under 12 years old. That investigation led to Vickers, officials said.

Authorities arrived at a residence in Hopkinsville on Thursday where they interviewed the suspect and seized equipment used to facilitate the crime.

Vickers was charged with four felony counts of possessing content portraying a minor under 12 in a sexual performance, four felony counts of distributing content portraying a minor under 12 in a sexual performance, and four counts of promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance. The investigation remains ongoing, KSP said.
