Kentucky State Police have released details on the fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon near the 86-mile-marker of I-24. According to a news release, a motorcycle operated by 28-year-old Alan R. Gonzalez of Clarksville-a Fort Campbell soldier-was attempting to merge with traffic heading eastbound on I-24 from the on-ramp from U.S. 41-A. Investigation revealed that while merging, Gonzalez lost control of the motorcycle and struck the guardrail.
