Tristar Health Collects More Than 1,000 Pounds of Medication During “Crush The Crisis”

TriStar Health facilities in Middle Tennessee collected 1,075 pounds of medication during its “Crush the Crisis” prescription medication take-back day events on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The events took place at ten locations in partnership with local law enforcement. The events aligned with the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

“This event is a great opportunity for our community to take an active role in addressing drug misuse,” said Dr. Ajit Singh, chief medical officer at TriStar Health. “We were able to collect more than 1,000 pounds of medication, which will positively impact our communities by preventing potential drug misuse and harm.”

TriStar Mt. Juliet ER in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, collected the most medication with 227 pounds, followed by TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee, with 134 pounds.
