HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (WKRN) — Authorities are trying to track down an armed and dangerous man after a deadly shooting happened in Hopkinsville Friday.
The Hopkinsville Police Department said officers responded to E 1st Street and N Virginia Street on Friday, Nov. 8 for a report that someone had been shot.

First responders treated the victim — identified by officials as 27-year-old Jacorey Majors — at the scene before he was transported to Jennie Stuart Health, but he was pronounced dead.
Law enforcement said detectives are investigating Majors’ murder and seeking a person of interest in the case.

On Saturday, Nov. 9, police turned to social media to ask the public for help finding 27-year-old Tavarious Mathews, saying he “should be considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.”
