TDOT unveils new ferry boat named after Pat Summitt

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced on Monday a new ferry boat named after Pat Summitt is now in service. Named “The Summitt,” the ferry connects Benton and Houston counties, helping provide essential service by pushing another barge named “The Volunteer” across the Tennessee River.
