Clarksville police investigate ‘domestic-related’ deadly shooting

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Clarksville Police Department is investigating what they call a “domestic-related” shooting that left one person dead.

According to a press release, officers responded to a shooting that already occurred at a West Creek Drive residence at around 2 p.m. One victim was transported to Tennova Healthcare by Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

“This is a domestic-related incident and there is no threat to the public,” the Clarksville Police Department added.

Detectives later arrested 20-year-old Nathan Rodriguez in connection with this case; he was charged with first-degree murder.

Officials noted the investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing. No further information was immediately released.
