Homicide investigation underway after man found with ‘apparent stab wounds’ during Clarksville welfare check

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities in Clarksville have launched a homicide investigation after a man was found with “apparent stab wounds” during a welfare check early Saturday morning, officials said.

The Clarksville Police Department said officers were sent to conduct a welfare check at Campville Mobile Home Park along Cedarcrest Drive around 2 a.m. after receiving a 911 call on the translator line regarding a possible rollover crash.

Instead of an overturned vehicle, officials reportedly found an unconscious man lying beside a running vehicle when they arrived. Authorities added the man appeared to be bleeding from “apparent stab wounds.”…
