More than 7,000 lose power in Clarksville and Montgomery County overnight

The high winds, heavy rains and lightning caused a little more than 7,000 residents in both the City of Clarksville and Montgomery County to lose power.

On Thursday morning, crews with Clarksville’s CDE Lightband stayed busy and worked through the overnight hours once conditions were safe to go to work, according to CDE Lightband’s Lindsey Pease.

“The wind and the lightning were big issues for many of our customers,” Pease said. “The crews continued working through the night restoring power to customers quickly.”…
