Hot dog eating contest, pageants, demolition derby, and more coming to Western Kentucky State Fair

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – From tractor pulls to petting zoos, the Western Kentucky State Fair is coming to Hopkinsville to provide endless entertainment over a span of nine days.

Gates first open to the public at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 20 and rides open at 6 p.m. Once there, people can purchase an armband providing unlimited rides for $25. A petting zoo, draft horse and pony pulls as well as a Western Dance Night featuring the “Country Twang Band” will be featured during the first night of the fair.

Over the course of the weekend, a multitude of unique events are scheduled with a variety of pageants for all ages occurring before the gates open to the general public. Saturday’s activities include a Mr./Mrs. WKSF Pageant, Pedal Pull Competitions, a Demolition Derby and a Miss WKSF Pageant.
