A new family-owned restaurant and country store opened in Pembroke wants to bring the community together with food.
Virginia Poland says her mother and father, Ronny and Brenda Luttrull, opened Down Home this month at the intersection of South Main Street and West Nashville Street, bringing breakfast foods, sandwiches, along with plants, canned goods, baked goods, honey, and ice cream to Pembroke.
Poland says the hope is to add community events such as painting classes and bible studies as well. She says her parents felt led by the Lord to open the business after retiring from the feed business…
