Clarksville City Council approves 4-cent tax increase on budget’s first reading

Less than a week after the first failed budget vote, the Clarksville City Council passed a revised proposed budget during its first reading with a 4-cent property tax increase.

After a failed budget vote last week, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts introduced what he called the “budget proposal 2.0.”
