An Ashland City man on the lam got himself into a jam just over the state border when he got out of order.
According to an arrest affidavit filed in the Christian County (Kentucky) District Court, on June 21, Oak Grove Police Department officers were dispatched to a Pilot truck stop in Oak Grove after making a positive identification on a stolen vehicle using the Flock system, a license plate reader.
Officers followed the vehicle as it left the Pilot, allegedly driven by a man later identified as Samuel Barnes, 33, of Ashland City. The vehicle allegedly refused to stop, and a chase ensued. The vehicle briefly left Christian County and drove into Tennessee before reportedly returning to Kentucky.
