HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Northbound lanes of Fort Campbell Boulevard near the Masonville Road underpass are blocked as emergency crews work to clear a wreck.
Around 11:15 a.m., the Hopkinsville Fire Department shared that a tractor trailer hauling excavation equipment clipped the underside of a train bridge, causing the excavator to overturn onto the roadway. After the accident, a heavy-duty towing company was on site helping mitigate the accident, according to HFD.
KYTC says the bridge is located between Long Pond Road and Novadell Way. Motorists are asked to seek an alternate route if they are headed northbound towards Hopkinsville. The structure that was struck is currently being assessed, which may take up to three hours…
