CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Ajax Turner 50+ Activity Center is well known as the place where strangers become friends and friends become family. It is also a place celebrating 60 years of service and support for a lot of special people in the community.
Janet Hasse is Executive Director of the 50+ Activity Center, and she told Clarksville Now 50+ is the place to be as the nonprofit offers many programs and activities for seniors. Currently, the activity center has around 1,000 members.
“Right now, you could walk through the halls and decide if you wanted to go to karaoke, play bingo, go to guitar class, take some Spanish, get on a computer or do some chair exercises, the list goes on and on,” Hasse said.
The 50+ Center features daily activities, many creative classes, fun and games along with special events each month. There is a lunchroom, there are pool tournaments, a fitness room, music, dancing, ceramics a walking club, a hair salon and much more…
