Clarksville student graduates from Congress of Future Medical Leaders, selected for FutureDocs Abroad

CLARKSVILLE, TN − Karlie Saelens, a sophomore at Clarksville High School, recently graduated as an alumna of the Congress of Future Medical Leaders, held in Massachusetts. This program recognizes the nation’s most promising high school scholars who aspire to have careers in medicine and science.

As part of this honor, Karlie took her first oath, the Declaration of Geneva, a modern successor to the Hippocratic Oath adopted by the World Medical Association, affirming her commitment to the ethical practice of medicine.

She was also inducted into the Torch and Laurel Honor Society, developed by the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), which recognizes exceptional academic achievement and leadership among high school students preparing for collegiate success…
