ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The mission of the Cheatham County Beekeepers Association is to educate the public about the beneficial aspects of honeybees and to allow veteran beekeepers to teach newcomers how to get started.
They meet every second Monday of the month at the First Baptist Church in Ashland City from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and all are welcome.

“We have beekeepers who have been members for twenty-plus years, to people who have been interested in bees, but not having them,” explained Jennifer Wilmoth, Secretary for the Cheatham County Beekeepers Association. “It’s an opportunity for new beekeepers to learn from veterans, and for veterans to share their wisdom.”
“We also go into some of the schools. We’ve helped Harpeth High School set up some bees, as well as some of the kindergarten classes. So, there are ranges of ages, and students that we are just interested in sharing the joy of beekeeping with.”…
