Former Fort Campbell soldier sentenced after infant son suffered burns, skull fracture

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A former U.S. Army sergeant stationed at Fort Campbell has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for aggravated child neglect after severely injuring his 2-month-old son in 2022.

Andrew J. Garasich, 29, of Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, was found guilty of bathing his infant in scalding water, resulting in life-threatening burns and a skull fracture.
