Teen charged with vehicular assault, reckless endangerment after flipping vehicle on Briley Parkway

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 16-year-old has been arrested after he reportedly flipped the vehicle he was driving, injuring at least five.

Carjacking suspect crashes twice in Montgomery County

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the crash occurred Monday night around 6:30 on Briley Parkway at the Brick Church Pike exit ramp. Police said there was evidence of impairment when the teen left the roadway at a curve while driving westbound, “jumped over the opposite side exit ramp of Brick Church Pike, hit an embankment and flipped.”

Authorities said two passengers were critically injured and three others had non-life-threatening injuries. The six occupants, who were all teenagers, were taken to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Investigators collected a blood sample from the teen driver at the hospital.
