A request for bond reduction was denied in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning for shooting suspect Shadymon Buckner, who is accused in the shooting of Jaleon Dyess.
Buckner appeared in front of Circuit Judge John Atkins alongside her public defender, Doug Moore, and Commonwealth’s Attorney Maureen Leamy, who made their arguments either for, or against, a bond reduction. Moore made the motion for the reduction in bond, saying Buckner is not a flight risk and a good candidate for modification.
Buckner is currently lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $25,000 bond. Leamy objected to a reduction in bond, saying she believes Buckner is a danger to the community—and the victim will battle with lingering issues from the wound to his neck forever…
