MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Mt. Juliet police recovered a vehicle reported stolen out of Kentucky earlier this month as well as drugs after arresting a man who had allegedly been deported from the U.S. on seven different occasions Friday afternoon.
A Chevrolet Cruz that had been reported stolen out of Oak Grove, Kentucky on July 3 entered the city of Mt. Juliet from Hermitage via Lebanon Road. Mt. Juliet officers utilized Guardian Shield license plate recognition technology and “activated a proactive pursuit-prevention plan and safely monitored the vehicle,” per a social media post.

Officers stopped the car as it pulled into a driveway on Nonaville Road, but the driver allegedly ran from the vehicle. Police said they found him a short time later in a nearby woods.
The car reportedly contained printing equipment used to make fraudulent identification cards and other IDs as well as a system to make fraudulent checks and money orders. The driver, a 44-year-old man, was also allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

The MJPD said the man “was discovered to be a non-citizen who has been deported from the U.S. seven different times and has returned without authorization.” Federal authorities have been called to assist in the investigation.
Further, the passenger — identified as a 41-year-old woman from Jackson, Tennessee — was found to be wanted out of Davidson County for failure to appear and a probation violation, Chester County for theft and Chester County for a probation violation and drug-related charges. the MJPD said she had been wanted since last September…
