Clarksville man sentenced to federal prison for 7 counts of wire fraud in Kentucky

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Clarksville man was sentenced on June 21, 2025, to more than a year in federal prison for engaging in a scheme to defraud his former employer, according to a news release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky.

Timothy Allen Pew, 43, was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in federal prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release, for seven counts of wire fraud. According to court documents, between March 2023 and January 2023, Pew committed wire fraud by engaging in a scheme to embezzle over $250,000 from his employer, said the release.

Pew, who was employed as a purchasing manager for a manufacturing company in western Kentucky, embezzled the funds from the company by using a company credit card to transfer money to his personal PayPal account. Pew was also ordered to pay $257,400.08 in restitution…
