Rossview widening, Stokes Field, Animal Control: Updates on 6 Montgomery County projects

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Montgomery County Chief Engineer Nick Powell this month gave the County Commission a quarterly construction update report for capital projects, including on Stokes Field, Fredonia Park and the Lafayette Road widening.

These updates include project budgets, contract completion dates, as well as the percentage of construction complete up to this point in the year. Here are updates on six Montgomery County capital projects.

Stokes Field renovation

For the Stokes Field athletic park renovation, the contract completion date is scheduled for Aug. 29. Currently, 85% of the construction has been completed, according to county documents.

Stokes Field is behind the Tradewinds North Shopping Center, off Fort Campbell Boulevard. The project included the demolition of the existing park and construction of new baseball and softball fields, a new multi-purpose field, new parking lots, upgraded utilities, a concession stand, restrooms, a maintenance building, and a community room…
