Regional Planning Commission to host workshop on Britton Springs Road neighborhood plans

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Following an open house they held back in April, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission is hosting a Britton Springs Road Neighborhood Area Plan Workshop this week at Minglewood Elementary School.

The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 19, and it is expected to run from 6 to 8 p.m. The workshop will serve as a follow-up opportunity for the community to come and ask questions, while learning more about the drafted plan for the Britton Springs Road neighborhood.

The drafted version of the plan is broken down into four chapters:

  • One: Community Background and Vision
  • Two: Inventory and Analysis
  • Three: Recommendations
  • Four: Implementation

“We were out in the community on April 29; we heard from around 40-45 individuals who showed up to speak,” RPC Director Jeffrey Tyndall told Clarksville Now. “We also had the online survey going along at the same time and got good feedback. So, this meeting is about presenting this final report. We want to make sure what we heard was correct and how we heard it was correct. Then, share some short-term and long-term strategies for the neighborhood. Both, from a policy, as well as a project, perspective.”…
