CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A third person was charged with evidence tampering nearly two weeks after a shootout behind a Japanese restaurant in Clarksville that left two people dead.
The Clarksville Police Department announced Wednesday morning that 18-year-old Elijah DeSean Wade of Clarksville was charged with tampering with evidence. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Wade’s arrest comes two weeks after CPD announced two other men were charged with evidence tampering: Havin John Lee James, 20, and Antario Jameer Hyrne, 21.
The shooting occurred on the evening of Aug. 12 behind Mizu Japanese Cuisine on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. A preliminary investigation by CPD detectives indicated that the incident started as a planned meeting between two groups, which later escalated to a shootout.
