According to a recent email from TVA, they are repairing the intake and discharge bridges that belong to TVA. A bridge contractor is performing the work. Media Relations for TVA, Scott Brooks told the Standard, “We are repairing the expansion joints, potholes, and resurfacing. The work is expected to take approx. 4-5 weeks. During the repairs, the bridges will be limited to one lane. Access to the fishing area at the TVA discharge area is also closed temporarily for safety. Traffic lights and warning signage are up in accordance with safety standards.”
