Montgomery County tourism soars in 2024 to $419 million, boosting local economy

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — Visitors to Montgomery County spent a whopping $419,550,868 in 2024, marking a huge spike from the previous year, new data unveils.

As a result, the jump produced nearly $27 million in state tax revenue and more than $16 million in local tax revenue, the data from Tourism Economics and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development adds.
