The family of Jordan Knight feel like they finally got justice after a jury in the Cheatham County Circuit Court found Curtis Dale Daye, 45, guilty of second-degree murder July 23 for supplying Knight with drugs that resulted in his death.
Daye, who was living in Dickson at the time of the death, was arrested in March 2023 for Knight’s fentanyl-related overdose death in October 2020.
The investigation, arrest and conviction were the result of a joint effort between the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to CCSO Narcotics Division leader Lt. Shannon Heflin. The two-year-long investigation revealed a woman selling drugs, and when she was arrested, she disclosed she had been living with and selling drugs for Daye, who was then linked to have sold the drugs to Knight…
