F2CON kicks off in Clarksville with gaming tournaments, $10,000 prize pool | PHOTOS

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The sixth annual F2CON is underway at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, bringing gamers, fans, and families together for a weekend of competitive and casual play.

The event is hosted by CDE Lightband in partnership with Visit Clarksville and Clarksville Parks and Recreation. Christy Batts, Chief Broadband Officer for CDE Lightband, said the idea behind the event started with a simple question: “Several years ago, when we launched our gig services, we had somebody ask me, ‘Well, what can you do on a gig?’

“I thought to myself, “What could we do that would be fun to showcase the power of our bandwidth and our internet services?” That question led to the creation of F2CON, with the name standing for ‘fiber fast.’”…
