Clarksville Fire Rescue held its annual 9/11 memorial ceremony on Sept. 11, 2025, reflecting on 24 years since the terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people at New York’s Twin Towers, the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and a field near Shanksville, PA. At the Clarksville Fire Rescue Headquarters, located at 821 Franklin Street, Fire Chief Freddie Montgomery Jr. and Clarksville Fire Rescue honored the lives lost and featured a joint honor guard made up of local first responders and military personnel; the placement of a memorial wreath; and a tribute to Clarksville Fire Rescue firefighters who have died in the line of duty. Following the ceremony, CFR personnel participated in the Memorial Stair Climb in remembrance of the first responders who gave their lives on 9/11. SUBMITTED…
