Downtown Hopkinsville is buzzing with food, music, and family fun as the annual Summer Salute Festival kicks off and continues through Saturday.
Hopkinsville’s Summer Salute is a free, family-friendly festival that fills downtown with live music, food, carnival rides, and activities for all ages. The two-day event has become one of the city’s biggest celebrations, drawing visitors from across the region.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Toby Hudson says the community has been waiting for this moment.
Hudson says organizers pushed the event back a couple of weeks this year to try for cooler weather, but the fun remains the same.
The festival opens at 11 a.m. both days, with rides and bounce houses for kids, and live entertainment starting at 6.
