Portion of I-24 designated Andre’ Hunter Memorial Highway

State Rep. Tim Rudd, R-Murfreesboro, State Rep. Aron Maberry, R-Clarksville, and State Sen. Dawn White, R-Murfreesboro, announced that a portion of Interstate 24 in Montgomery County has been dedicated as the Andre’ Hunter Memorial Highway.

Hunter was a 30-year-old Rutherford County native who was tragically killed by a drunk driver in Clarksville in January 2023. He lived in Clarksville and was a 2021 graduate of Austin Peay State University with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. He was an alumnus of Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro and had a flourishing business and social media presence.

“Andre’ Hunter was a loving son, brother and talented graphic designer with his whole life ahead of him,” the lawmakers said. “We are honored to help keep his memory alive and to recognize him for his contributions to Middle Tennessee with the Andre’ Hunter Memorial Highway. His mother, April, has been an inspiration to us through her passionate advocacy for his legacy. We continue to pray for strength for Andre’s family and friends.”…
