HOPKINSVILLE, KY – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is scheduled to begin a maintenance project along an eight-mile section of Interstate 24 in Christian County. The work will require lane closures and a reduced speed limit through the construction zone.
Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 1, crews will start bridge deck repairs on the westbound lanes at the West Fork Red River Bridge (mile marker 91.4). Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane while this work is underway.
In addition, crews will also be making guardrail upgrades on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-24 between the Tennessee State Line (mile marker 93) and the U.S. 41A interchange (mile marker 85). Mobile lane closures should be expected as this work is performed…
