CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A past zoning case that could bring a childcare facility and other commercial opportunities to the Rossview area may return to the City Council, but this time, with a new zoning request.
The applicant, listed as Tonya Bosley, previously asked for more than 4 acres be rezoned from R-1 Single-Family Residential District to C-2 General Commercial District on a parcel fronting the north of Rossview Road. The parcel sits approximately 500 feet east of the Dunbar Cave Road and Rossview Road intersection, according to Regional Planning Commission documents.
With the previous request, several council members expressed concerns about the proposed C-2 zoning classification due to the ability to add apartments. This led to the proposal’s narrow defeat, 6-7.
