Longtime Clarksville resident, veteran continues search for flood answers, rejects city buyout

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – For more than 20 years, Luis Davila has called his seven-and-a-half-acre property on Freestone Drive home. A military veteran, Davila purchased the land while serving and has remained there ever since.

“This is my safe place,” he said.

But during heavy rains, his field turns into a lake — a recurring issue in the neighborhood that has yet to be resolved…
